NIDC performs facial comparisons and fingerprint comparisons

To support the immigration authorities' ability to establish and verify the identity of aliens, the National ID Centre offers assistance with biometric examinations. NIDC's biometrics team is tasked with supporting the immigration authorities' ability to identify individuals through fingerprints and facial images. 
NIDC receives requests for comparisons in cases where there are doubts concerning the identity of an alien. The result of the comparison can be used as part of their case work, e.g. applications for entry to Denmark, extensions of stay, and other relevant matters.
The Danish National ID Center is the only authority in Denmark that performs facial comparisons at an expert level.
